My wife calls me at work and tells me uhhh you might want to come home a tree just fell on your car....I was almost physically sick, it took me 8 years of haggling to finally get this car! This is what I came home to:

Wow, I'm glad it didn't total her out. Wacky weather this year all over the US. Hopefully you can get it buffed out and back on the road soon, good luck.

Ya, sick feeling is what I would feel also. Lets see pics with the tree out of the way before the polishing begins.

  16. I've had trees fall on the house - several houses. Wrecked a couple of roofs! But never had one fall on my cars. Just lucky so far. Looks like your Ford could have been a lot worse. That's a nice car - good luck with the fix...

Guy I work with was standing next to me when I took the call....he thought someone in my family had died because I kept saying "oh no is she alright?':D
Needless to say I did break a few speed limits going home.

You got lucky on this one. Glad it is not that bad.

  23. Always hate calls like that from home... but it could be worse... My fiance called me and told me a tree fell on a motorcyclist in front of our neighbors house... beautiful calm day and he got knocked silly... fortunately he was not seriously injured!

Did I say it was a "Big *** Tree?".... it was as you can tell by the photo's!

****s man! At least it didn't cave in the roof and totally destroy the car... looks like you just have to fix the front end. Best of luck, wish I had a front clip to give you.

  28. That coupe really would be a nightmare... your Ford really escaped real damage and I recall another thread a few years back where the tree trunk a crushed roof lengthwise right into the firewall... the thought of finding every bit of rare curved gl*** and rare chrome piece would turn into an insurance mess as well!

We should start a thread where we all show the carnage from trees and call it... "Trees are our ENEMY"!

You lucked out on that one. I have a huge tree in the front yard and we go out and move the cars away from it if the wind is going to blow with any strength. I did have a tree fall on the house and bust up the whole roof a few years ago.
[IMG] That heavy thing would have crushed any car. It made good firewood two years later and one chunk of it serves as my "stump" for metal beating.

Was it due to wind damage or was it an issue with the tree it's self.
