Kustom Komet: Thanks so much for the info! Now I realize even more what a amazing chance that I ended up with that Comet! Everything just seemed to work!

Thought about this post at work today. This kind of effort produces a lot more than a car.
It exposes character in a person.
Good job, and keep it up.

Wow...great work, Falcongrrrl!:D I've been watching this older post for a while, and I've got a 1962 2-door V-8 Falcon project of my own that's almost ready to roll, except for tires...funny thing is, it looks almost just like yours!:)

Question for you, though: What size tires are you running? I've lowered mine about 1.5" in the front and 2.5" in the rear, with stock Ford 14" rims...I am curious what tire sizes other Falcon wagon owners are using....
    Thanks,
    Rob

Just stumbled across these posts. The wagon looks great and the amount of work you put in is impressive. If you have any free time, I've got a '64 Comet I can't seem to finish. :D

Fantastic job! Looks great. Doing it yourself, learning new talents is what it's all about. The look and stance is great! A lot of people wouldn't have taken the time or made the effort on the under carriage. I'm with Junkyardroad; this was more than just getting a car on the road, it showed your top notch character as well as skills.

    Thanks all!
Ghostcruiser as of right now its lowered about an inch and a half in the front and I am running it on 13". I plan on putting 14"'s on it as soon as money allows!

Aussiesteve: If you read my first post, I do nothing but praise and CREDIT my friend for this summer happening. I just dont put my friends personal names up somewhere unless they tell me its ok. Also as I have already stated my car would not be at this point right now if not for him. But I feel as though you are implying that I did not do the time and work on my car and that is what I deal with as a girl everyday. If that is what you are saying, thankfully I dont really care. Cause I know, and my friend EJ knows, and the people who know me know. This was just to share my excitement and pride in my ride.

  11. It's goofy that the Falcons are more common than those Comets are. I can't think of the last time I saw a '70s Comet, except a chopped 4dr in a magazine.

Someone could probably use what's left of yours for a stock car body if nothing else.

Anyhow, it's more than I did, too, and looks like good work - now this summer you can go have fun with it.

  12. I didn't read it that way,,,lighten' up Steve.

Even us long time hot rod builders have had help at one time or another,,HRP

    Falcongrrrl,
Thanks for the tire info. Again, you should be very proud of your work, no matter who else helped on the car. :) I commend you on the point of NOT posting friends names or personal info on the web...a wise and considerate decision on your part; besides, they know who they are, even if other people don't! :)

    Thanks again to everyone.!

Aussiesteve: From my first post "But again since my friend had EVERYTHING he showed me how to do the work. As my hatred for body work grew with each piece of sand paper my new found love of metal work and fabrication grew! I am a beginner in everyway but I am pretty proud of my little ride!"

Out of respect to the fact that he makes his living out of his shop I was not about to advertise the fact that he did me a favor in letting me work on MY car at HIS shop for as long as he did. He does alot for many of our friends and the last thing he needs is more people coming to him saying "hey will you do ME a favor" I will not defend this to you anymore. If your a "friend" than come to me or him about this.

Shutting up now, Thanks again to everyone elses support and advice, cant wait to meet some of you this summer!
