Part of my late Uncle’s hoard.
Early turn if the century railroad jacks. These things are stupid heavy. I have no idea why he felt compelled to buy them.

You can pick up anything you want!
Rigging companies use similar jacks. Possibly a steel erector would want them.

Wish I was closer, I would be glad to have them. I use the pair I inherited from my dad all the time. Its a pain to keep moving them from one end of a large object to the other. Having 4 would save a lot of steps. Just leveled up a 40 foot sea container a couple of weeks ago.

I’ve used a Jack similar to lift up a 2 ton truck loaded with wheat to replace a flat tire . Those were the go to tool for lifting heavy things at one time . You could make a living room standing lamp out of them .

That is what the High Lift jack that 4x4 guys use is patterned after. Lots of the old loggers that used bobtail trucks around here usually had one on the truck to fix flats with. The mobile home setup guys still use them some even though most of their stuff is hydraulic now. With a six foot bar you can lift a house with those! Damn good to pull fence posts, too.

You could donate one to the Henry Ford Museum here in Dearborn, Michigan... They have a huge Loco in there...

Not HAMB related but my BIL and I bought and rehabbed a 10 year old raised ranch house back in 1975. The main problem was the back wall of the foundation had settled about 2 1/2” and separated the peak of the roof. We rented four large jacks like that and using a long timber were able to raise the bottom plate from the foundation and shim the floor back into level. I drove past that house a few years ago and it still looks great.
Other than that I can’t think of another use I might have.

I have a couple aluminum ones, still heavy but jack up anything, definitely worth having around. I jack up my c60 with them, and I used them during foundation repair on my house, also jacked a sunken bus out of its holes with them.

  12. They sell for 200-250 up here all the time

forklift and heavy eqyguys use them all the time

List them for 50 each on your local classifieds they will be gone by. The end of the day .

I have 4 of them because …… well because I have issues with tools and good deals that’s why ! Sheesh stop pestering me !!! Gosh :D

Simplex made cable reel jacks… 2x6, trianglar bases for stability. Heavy.

Those are the handiest things to have around. You might not need them much but when you do they are a life saver. I’m hoping that I can find mine so I can pull fence posts on the wood fence I’m replacing around the entire backyard.

I have a farm jack for that. This thing is super massive. It has handles on both sides. I am assuming it was designed for 2 guys to carry.

  21. Might work as table legs, but I bet if you have these you have lots of cool options for table legs.
