Thanks for the laughs. Trailer brake controller was what I was thinking it might be as well. Thanks!!
It's the activation handle for the time travel mode. Be sure and dress appropriately less you be scorned by those you are about to meet!
My grandfather had a device something like that in his Olds in the 50's. He had had polio and had little use of his legs so he had a similar device installed to operate the brakes. There was another little handle that looked like it came off a lawn mower that ran the throttle. But wait..........you said Buick. So I don't know now.
In one of my "Old guy" type car magazines, (you know, one of those that doesn't have naked teenagers sprawled out on cars or advertising shamelessly for new GM crate motors throughout the entire magazine), there was an article about GM and Ford equipping cars for handicapped returning WW2 vets. Could it be something like that s decade later? Like Larry's Garandad's rig? http://digital.hagley.org/vinson_2011_0511_00045#page/1/mode/1up Also, how about tracing the wires, we would be interested to know what it is too.
It's not mine...yet... And no, as far as I can tell from the pictures, it doesn't currently have one, but that doesn't mean that it didn't have one at one time...
