Well I know he won't say anything himself, so I nominate Elpolacko's green "shoptruck"! Twin turbo big block Chev putting some 700 hp TO THE WHEELS. TO THE WHEELS !!! Some might consider it O/T... There is nothing O/T about how mind bending F***ing quick that thing is! Oh, and it gets driven - hard! Goes to Round up every year, LARS, HAMB Drags, not to mention a twenty three mile one way daily commute most days. My '48 avatar has put out well over 400 horses in its fresher days, and everyone around Phoenix knows I have no problem using it. But driving Elpolacko's truck, is like driving a F***ing space ship!!!

no small block Chevys... how cool you are to dislike smallblock Chevys, the cuffs on your jeans must be 8 inches high.

There is a difference between a comma and an apostrophe.

  9. I got a pretty bad ass olds here by the computer. Its ugly as butt and will never compare to Paul's blown olds mills or the DZ small block. But I like it.

I also have a fair small block street motor. But it also doesn't measure up to any of the hybrids and it is also ugly as butt.

    Hell I think I'm a deviate I like butt ugly.:eek::eek::eek:

I know it's not the most bad ass but I'm pleased with it. A 62 Cadillac 390
DRE 2x4 w/4bbl strombergs, spalding flamethrower, soon to be topped with worked 58 heads and roller cam. In a model A that should fell pretty bad ass.

  15. Now that's just ignorant. I believe the SBC is as boring as the next guy. BUT, to ask the question BAD ASS and leave out the Chevy is just dumb. Hey, it's me....what'd you expect for an answer:D?

A few come to mind... Hot Rod Packard's inline with induction, a VERY cool set-up.

The Atomic Punk, because it's highly detailed and sounds incredible.

The banger in the Old Crow sounds incredible too and that little tank is fast. I don't know where it ranks in terms of bangers but it's pretty cool to me.

Although I'm not into crate SBCs, I think there are some SERIOUS SBCs around the HAMB... a few come to mind.

Oh, and that Model A from BC with the twin chargers... that mill is pretty sick.

My vote would be Applekrates Pontiac powered AA/FD or his Pontiac Hemi in his boat.

THANKS i know that car has the Turbonique rear- love it, is that pic of the latham from the same car, though? I been searching for Latham info lately, and the only company making them is making tiny ones for Mazdas and such.

now that it's all billet and cdc, someone really should tool up a bigger Latham, 1,200 cfm minimum. 1,500-2,000cfm preferred. Draw through or blow through would be easy. ( i feel a separate thread coming on)

oh and teddyp? with regards to deciding on which is the best beer? I'd have to say it's the fifth one.

    you are too kind,

the 303 is far too street freindly to be considered bad ass
and the 371 hasn't earned any bad ass points yet,
    working on that though :)

There are a couple of different HAMB members that have "period" gassers that would be in the running. I'll let them post them if they want.
