Last summer the wife and I took my Chevelle to the beach (yes, there are beaches in Indiana! We're 30 minutes from Lake Michigan) at the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Middle of the week, pretty much nobody there. The parking lot can probably hold 500 cars and theres maybe 15 cars in it. As usual, I parked way out on my own. When we head back to the car we see the same empty parking lot. Well, empty except for the mother f#!*ing Ford F350 crew cab with the camper in the bed and a boat trailer behind it parked in the spots right next to my car! People are idiots, that confirmed it for me!

what is this i can't drive my car cause wah wah wah! then you'll sit there and complain at some old guy who just had so and so build him a $100,000 rod and wants to take up 3 spaces when he parks. back in 89 i bought a brand new saleen mustang 2 months and it was stolen and destroyed. my insurance agent said what you gonna get now? bought another saleen and drove it everywhere .even used to fight rush hour traffic into new york in it drove it all over the country and had a blast. still have it so it's got a few dents but i DROVE it all over. samething now with my wagon it's insured so i'm gonna enjoy it and not worry. it's a car and it can always be fixed

 

If you don't like people parked next to your car, then don't drive it. People are not into cars like all of us are and they don't give it any thought when they pull into a parking space. People aren't setting out to piss you off. I will bet money that driver did not pull in and say "I'll park next to that sweet '46 just to piss it's owner off because I have nothing better to do with my life and nothing better to think about."

actually the pic of the car is when i rolled it out after doing a rough in body work job on the car, ive been driving it for the last 4 years, its been to chicago and back to the hunnert car pile up, (i wont take it twice, i usually build a new car for the show every year) been to bttf's for the last 4 years (let my parents drive it 2 of the years) and to a lot of there local events too. and originally got it going in about 4 months (not years) but its a work in progress, someday ill paint it.

sure if something happens ill be mad, but thats what give people ulcers, so i wont worry about it and just have fun with it, at the pile up when i drove it there, there was a little mis hap and my car got back into and my taillights got broken and the stands got bent up and the lower panel got dented i was bummed cause it was all brand new, but i got over it real fast and had fun learing how to pic and file stainless tail lights!

ive wasted enough energy, i got something constructive to get done, have fun worrying

Too many douchebags in California. Apparently, sunshine turns people into asshats. And houses cost too much.

I let several people sit in, on and take pictures with my car Saturday at the drive in. It's not so nice that I can't share it. Now when it's done, in 10 or so years, I may have to be more careful.

 

Be'n the elder statesmen of the clan up cheer in da badlands I have tried very hard to improve my image... Only once in in the past two years haz a cop reached for his gun while I waz pulled over... And of the two guys that shot at me one got caught. Geez haven't been shot at in three years now! So... I am do'n my best to abide by the rules of land......wife saz I haz ta...my shrink saz I'd better. my doctor has given up....
