these are the nights i hate my computer. wish i was there.

 

I feel for everyone who has posted about not being able to go. I'm in the same boat. This year I thought it was going to be a done deal. Levi Classic had borrowed my trailer for his car and we were going to drive out together. Three days before we were to leave I twisted my ankle real bad and had a cast put on (the doc said it was worse than a break would have been as far as damage). So, here I sit on the computer with my leg elevated and half high on pain pills.
As a result, I'll just repeat the lame prediction I made last year and say, "next year".

Yeah, it sucks...just wait 'till next year. I'll be there in this. Yes, it's a glass body and it has an IFS front end, but I wanted something that handles and I couldn't find/afford a real steel body. Life is a series of compromises. At least I'm building it myself in my basement.

 

The pics from last year is how I first got on the hamb board. I thought that strip was so old timey neat. Those pics looked so much like a couple strips I went to in the late 50s/early 60s here in Indiana!! I got right on the board and made a post wanting info about the strip without even making an intro. The hamb police straightened me out and I became a newbie. I just had to know so I could go this year and I was sure looking forward to it!! As fate would have it my wife has been having a lot of medical problems and we've been missing a lot this summer. Hopefully we can make it next year!!
