When I would get 'unduly loud' as a youngster, Dad used to say "Put a damper on it!" I took that as sound advice, albeit never to apply to solid Henry rolling stock...
Better to have it and not need it. If you go around an offcamber turn and hit a pavement misalignment going onto a bridge at 60mph in traffic you'll be glad you had one.
Nonsense. You need shocks on all four corners. Anyone who tells you otherwise is ignorant of their function, trying to kill you, or both.
I've been driving this jalopy for two years now...No Shocks Front or Rear... It Works: Dirt Roads, Good size pot holes, The 3 bumps on H3! High Way Speeds (close to 54mph) Beach Park Speed Bumps (15 in a row) at ~10mph you name it...It eats anything without wobbling or undulating to death.... B4: It had a death wobble when I bought it on Maui. I Tightened up / adjusted the steering...never got it to wobble again... Added Steering dampener after (Swap Meet find)...just in case! Nonsense....Maybe...? It's a "Stock Beach Cruiser" i don't want to spend to much dough on. Future: I'm gonna Hot Rod it later (Blown Poly) etc. You betcha it'll have shocks on it then!!
We have them on 3 cars on the road and one more in the building stage. I will never build another car without a SoCal stabilizer on it. It just firms up the front end so much better than without one. No question I will run one on my altered. Don
