Added the SoCal damper to my ride today. Bandaid or not, it not only fixed my 65mph death wobble, but it DRASTICALY improved my steering and handeling charicteristics at all speeds! For $50 it seems like a no brainer to me. Whoever said it made their steering stiff either had it in a bind or got a bad one. Im so impressed im gonna order another one on monday for the wifes '27 T coupe. :D

I have a steering dampener on my 41 Ford. Not to cure "wobble" but to take out the "jerk" felt in the steering wheel while going over seams in the road, especially angled joints onto/off bridges. Been on for 10 yrs or so.

Like I said on another thread, we will never build another car without one. We have one on each of our hot rods and it made a totally different car out of them, in all respects. I have had my 27 for over 20 years, so I know how it handles. Since adding the stabilizer last year the car is improved 100%.

I've had one on my "31 A for about 7 years. Can't say how much it helped, but it certainly hasn't hurt my steering or suspension.

I put one on my '32 when I first built it. Learned a long time ago the benifits of having one on board. Not only eliminates death wobble but makes the whole steering seem tighter and more responsive. We've probably installed a couple of dozen over the years and they have never failed to make an improvement.
