OK fellas, so a a few weeks ago I got rid of the loathe of my existence - the social groups. A few of you got pissed off and called me names. That was mean. Sort of hurt my feelings... but not enough to stop me from appeasing. Anyway, I just wrapped up moving everything from both the COE and the ’52–’59 Ford groups into the Off Topic forum. To see them, you can arrange by prefix. For example, let's say I wanted to read some***** about 1952-59 Fords. I'd go to the off topic forum found here: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forums/off-topic-hot-rods-customs.98/ Then, I'd scroll down to the bottom to where it says "Thread Display Options". Under "prefix," I'd select "1952-59 Ford" as seen here: Click "set options" and now you are looking at nothing but content that was in the 1952-59 Ford social group. Same goes with COE*****. I am no officially done with this Social Group***** and couldn't be happier about it.
I think it accidentally messed up the "your content" section. When I went to check the threads I commented on yesterday the listed comments were all from 2012 ! Lol
Yeah, we are rebuilding the index right now due to all the threads moving over. It should be fine by tomorrow...
because I can sneak up behind them on my hands and knees and you can push them over me and we all can gang up on them, I seen it done in an old movie
Ran across this a while back....it was captioned "Administrating Social Groups"...thought it was interesting.
Okay, so you posted detailed instructions. Thank you for that. Now, do you really expect people to actually read them???
That's great! Thanks for saving the '52-'59 group. That is a really good one with some really knowledgeable folks.
If I needed that information, I'd be really grateful. As it is, I just really appreciate your efforts.
I was the Moderator of the '54 Ford Club of America and up until the founder passed away I was the administrator, when I was informed the end was near several members and myself moved a lot of information to the hamb, jeffB2 was very instermental in starting the 52-59 social site. I am afraid I pestered Ryan quiet a bit about saving the information ( FAQ'S) from the social group, knowing just a little bit about hosting a web site I completely understand his reason behind pulling the plug. Thank you Ryan for listening to all the passionate '52-59 guys asking to save a group that used the site as a source for information concerning our cars. HRP
Thanks to @Ryan and @HOTRODPRIMER and everyone else involved with resurrecting the 52-59 social group info. I just followed the instructions posted by Ryan and I've now booked marked the page. And coincidentally I got my new Alliance member plaque in the mail today. Win win all around.
