Selling this for my dad... Complete 1961 Chevy 261 6 cyl engine -Block date – G 13 1 -Casting # - 3769717 -Block bored .080 over and crank mains have been line honed. Block was decked and head was milled. Comp ratio 8.2 to 1. New cam bearings installed and fitted to cam. New brass soft plugs. All other plugs removed and replaced when block was hot tanked. -Head date – 1 5 3 (1954 235) -Casting # - 3701887 -Completely rebuilt and resurfaced. Hardened exhaust seats, rebuilt rocker arm assemblies, rocker arm shafts were polished and rocker arm to valve tips were resurfaced. -Crank was turned .010 on rods and mains, new Badger Alloy pistons installed on reconditioned rods. New Grant piston rings, Sealed Power main bearings, Clevite rod bearings. Complete rotating assembly has been balanced. New camshaft and solid lifters. ¾ grind. Specs are: 264 deg. duration and .436 lift -New timing gearset on both crank and camshaft. All pushrods have been hot tanked and checked for straightness -New oil pump and hot tanked pick-up -Harmonic balancer has speedi-sleeve installed on the usual seal wear groove -Includes all tin, air cleaner w/chrome base, carb w/spacer (Rochester 1bbl), 2 valve covers, 2 generators, distributor, intake/exhaust manifold with old school split on exhaust, new Fel-Pro gasket set, and all nuts and bolts. -Engine was left apart for your inspection and assembly. Receipts for all items purchased and machine work done will be provided. Engine is complete and should be very fun to drive. Can not ship. Engine must be picked up in Eastern Oregon.
