    Price: 3500
    SOLD SOLD SOLD

I bought this motor a few years back with the intention of dropping it in my 56 Ford Courier, but never got around to it, and ended up selling that car. This motor is a fresh build that has never been run.

Its a 292(block # EDB 6015e) thats been bored to 3.800", and stroked to 3.605"(I was thinking this was 344ci, but its 327ci),. Its got forged eagle pistons and H-beam rods. The bottom end has been assembled with clevite bearings, clearances have been checked, and rings have been file fitted. Pistons have been fly cut. It has an upgraded timing chain too. Has a Comp Cam solid lifter cam kit(cam, lifters, double springs, retainers); I don't know the cam specs, but you can send the cam to Mummert and for a nominal fee he will measure and give you all the specs; although Im guessing by the fly cut pistons is the more aggressive cams CompCams offers for the yblock. The heads(#5752 113) have been rebuilt, and have new stainless steel valves, that if I recall are over sized. The rocker arms have all been shimmed for perfect alignment. The heads are not on the motor currently. Also have new ceramic coated fenderwell headers that go with it too. I've got the complete gasket kit, and most if not all of the other parts(water pump housing, valve covers, valley cover), although Im not sure if I still have an intake for it. Im also willing to ship it, and have had good luck with Fastenal(you pick it up at your nearest store); but only after payment has cleared.

I bought this from a very reputable engine dealer/builder out of state(he dealt specifically in older hot rod motors, not just y-blocks), and he had great feedback, but I have since lost his contact. Im not an engine builder, but I have no problem letting you check out the motor and confirming anything you want on it, and if your local I can even take it to a machine shop of your choice to have them check it out if you would like.

Im asking $3500obo, which if you have priced out a comparable Y-block build, you know is a steal; as that is not too far off of what just the rotating assembly costs when you consider the cost of a good ecz 312 crank core. I may consider reasonable offers, and will entertain trades up/down/across for: fresh 700r4, complete LS motor/trans, Must2 air ride shockwaves, air ride control systems, neon signs, petroliana, motorcycles(all types/eras), sporting/self-defense goods, small vintage boats, or ????
