I put this on HAMB a month or two ago and it didn’t sell at $1,400. So here it is at an even $1K. This set-up was on my ’51 custom with small-block Chevy for a number of years. About five years ago that engine started burning oil so I changed engines and went with the 650 Holley that came with the new motor. This piece has been sitting since and consists of six chromed two-barrel carbs on a highly polished Weiand Drag Star manifold. One of the carbs has “Chandler Grove Detroit” in raised letters while the other five are identical to this one except for having “Ford” scripted on their side. Chandler Grove made these carbs for Ford in the first year or two they were used on p***enger cars (1938-1939) although they couldn’t keep up with production so Ford took over manufacturing and replaced the CG script with their own. I always ran just the two middle carbs but I believe everything is there to run it on all six if one wanted to do that. Included are the fuel log (four of the ******s are brazed shut), linkage and other hardware that was removed at the time. This is all period correct. Carb kits are available. This price is for you picking it up here in Santa Clarita, CA. Shipping in the continental USA would be an additional $75.
