    Solid roller in the coupes 406. 650 lift. I do check adjustment often. But that because I can not keep my hands off her. :D

    Pontiac, in their infinite wisdom, put the intake and exhaust on the same side of the engine as the lifters making valve adjustment a nightmare unless you're a Hawaiian contortionist. I adjusted the 2 easiest ones and gave up. Only then did I realize the old Pontiac mechanics took the inner fender out and left front wheel off to adjust valves....DUH!
    That said, I would like to replace my hydraulic cam in the 34 [Pontiac V/8 motor] with solids.

    Can't really blame Pontiac for putting the manifolds on the same side as the lifters. Pretty universal. Valves got to be on the same side as lifters and it's pretty hard to run the ports past the cylinders to the other side.
