Technical Sombrero wheel cover

  1. 20251213_162556[1].jpg 20251213_162445[1].jpg I have several of these 1953 Cadillac Sombrero type wheel covers - could someone tell me how to attach these to the wheel - I think these are 15 in. measure 15 1/2 across - shown picture of front and back

    Those usually require the corresponding '53 Cadillac wheel. They are too deep to fit on a regular wheel.

    I’ve seen them with trim rings soldered or welded to them so they fit regular wheels. But like stated they need to be a little deeper than normal for the dish.

    59/54 at least Caddy wheels were pretty deep to get those caps to fit and had the special center with clips that held the cap. bolt pattern is 5 on 5. Pontiac used a similar setup but I don't know if the wheels are the same.
    The red wheels are a set that Marty4-0 posted in the cl***ifieds a few years ago are 56 wheels Screenshot (2266).png IMG_20210417_125041.jpg
     
  7. I cut the center out and tack weld 15 in beauty ring to the outer edge and they went right on regular rims
