My 30 A Cabriolet is Guards Red, white firewall and I want to paint the 32 grille insert. I am looking for suggestions as to what color that I should go with. My first thought is black, but then I was thinking white or maybe an "off" white.

The original color was a gray, I believe called dove gray. Black would hide or kill the features of a deuce grill.

White, to match your firewall and whitewalls.

You're talking insert itself (not the shell), I don't see a problem at all with black (satin). In fact I prefer it. Just the bars and leave the outline border bright, as is.

Off white. It would accent the whitewalls.

    Thank you Moose
I think the black looks good, as does the off white. Decisions, decisions!

  14. I thought I'd like the off-white, but it looks yellowed being near the white firewall and whitewall tires. Of all those pictured, I like the black ones with the shiny outline, posted above by KoolKat and slowmotion.

With the red, another vote for off white. Wasnt the insert in the Chuck Price roadster off white?

Well you're done already, but I would have chosen a matte silver.
