well i finally took the time to take some pictures while i was doing final assembly of the chassis after painting it. im going to spray the body tomorrow, i hope :D i scored some 16 x 4.5's from an old international at long beach last weekend, these look exactly like the early fords except they have a 5x4.5 bolt pattern so they fit the 9 inch without having to use adapters so the tires should hug the body pretty good. tires are firestone 5.50 16's front 7.50 16's rear. also decided to go with a spring in front of axle setup instead of the drop axle setup i had on there before, since the frame has been lengthend a bit i wanted to shorten up the wheelbase because i thought it looked alittle funky. i ordered my headers from lakeheaders.com and he did an awesome job on them. still waiting to get my offy 3x2 manifold from HAMber dmarv, hopefully sometime next week. im hoping to have it on the road by the end of the month, but that might be just wishful thinking

I like the contrast of the shiney blue with the flat black.

I too like the flat black headers, nice touch. I also like that you left the bellhousing in the aluminum as oppossed to painting it. Great work so far, keep us updated with pic's. I don't think there's a soul on here that doesn't like to see a Model A coupe build. :)

I see you split the wishbones. Looks as if you did more than simply weld in a bung, but not sure by the pics. Looks pleanty long. How much did it drop the front end on the chassis? I am going to use as much original as I can on my tudor. I like the spring up front and don't want to go to a dropped axle for what I plan on doing. The books swear you will drop a bit with just using the stock axle with split wishbones, but wondering just how much a bit is?

Are you using the original front spindles? What are your brake plans for your ride? Are you planning disc or drum? If disc, what set up do you plan to use?

Nice car, but you should have thought of using a tad touch of blue on it. :)

Hope your not planning on using the fenders cuz the offset from the spring mount will make it look kinda goofy.

did you have to recess the firewall for the motor?I'm running the same motor-trans combo in my A.If you recessed it how did you go about it and how much did you recess it?I like everything about your chassis.

the frame already had the mounts for the front bones and it came with a set of rears that were already done, all i did was copy the rear bones because i wanted them to match. i took a piece of mild steel pipe big enough for the tie rod to fit into, tapped it with the proper threads, cut a slit/relief out so i could use a clamp to really hold the tie rod in place and give it some more strength. i then welded that inside the wishbone, it would not have been long enough without doing something similar.

i have a set of 4o brakes for the front but i think im going to run it without them for alittle while because i like the look, the rears are all brand new bendix for the 9 inch and will stop this sucker plenty.

the body came with a crude recess for the dist that i decided to just rework as it seemed to give ample clearence and i like the look of the stock firewall so i wanted to keep as much of it as possible

    thanks
