  2. Couple old rides a friend of mine has.
The Pontiac is borderline. Top is nice doors decent.
Typical rockers. Needs the trunk rain gutter.
The f100 other than the floor is not bad. No rear glass though.
Lots of parts in the bed. Doors and hood are ok. Guy has several 57 to 60 pieces. Definitely enough to build a truck

  3. Yep. Purple painted y block. Someone’s old “hot rod” truck. Has holes in the inner fenders for headers.

  4. I’ve got a great floor for one of these trucks and a back window.
    Had one in high school.
Friend wants to trade both for some metal work.
Don’t need more junk but …..

  5. The Pontiac does have shirts and a visor

  6. I see lots of cool shiny bits on the Pontiac.

  7. Yep. Its borderline parts or if you don’t mind fab work it could be saved.
Floors and rockers in theses rides ain’t too bad to do

I just sent my buddy a text to see if he has a pic. His landlord turned 92 this year. In 1963 he bought a brand new Iso Rivolta. It might not fit the parameters of the forum. If anyone objects say something and if we find a pic I wont post it. It's an Italian two seater with a Chevy V8. The early ones had 327's and the later ones 427's. Frank drove it for 20 years and around 300,000 miles. It started to run bad and he just parked it to the side of the drive. 40 years later a guy in Arizona bought it for the title and serial number plate. When I saw it last year the woods had grown out and enveloped it.

Those Pontiac shark fin belt line moldings and that visor would be really tempting to buy if that car was getting parted out, those are easy sellers.

That's the kind of car where it's a shame to part it out if someone might fix it, but it's also a shame to have those pieces on there if the car ends up getting dragged off to the crusher. Unfortunately I've left things alone hoping option A would happen, only to watch option B ruin some good bits that would have gotten used.

The Poncho also has the rear bumper wraparounds.

    It’s rotten but had pieces
This is what it looked like after the scrap yard pulled it off the pile for me

I kinda wish you hadn't shown me that. Heartbreaking, especially a coupe. But the '50 grille surround is still on there, that piece of sheetmetal is worth a small fortune by itself, that is the custom car grille surround, and a fantastic upgrade onto a '51 model. Door and quarter surround stainless moldings are on it yet too. I'd be very inclined to salvage some pieces off of that car, even in it's current balled-up state.

It is however a perfect example of why I don't leave stuff behind "for the next guy" anymore.

I’d drive that Pontiac! Looks good and buildable.

Those old straight 8 Pontiacs with a Hydro, would shift 3 times getting across an intersection, and had a whine all of their own.
