  3. You could go with the Chrysler Highlander Plaid interior. So square it's hip.

I went down that path for awhile and found the interior patterns to be just a bit too wild. I looked at all of the optional seat coverings for 49 from Plymouth, Dodge and Chrysler and picked the samples you will see in the photo on Lenny's website; they blend nicely with the Mercedes 904 Blue and will be the colors we use in all pin stripe work and for the wheels. I hope this link works. http://www.chop-shopcustoms.com/current_work/49plymouth/plym03190606.JPG

  7. I'm thinking pleated ivory seating surfaces and dash (with red pinstriping or course), everything else in burgundy vinyl.

Man I gotta agree...no tweed! Really! With all the sweet fabrics out there I've never understood the whole tweed thing. Either do vinyl in a comp color or better yet, find a good match to the colors you want in a herringbone or chevron pattern fabric.

Thanks for not chopping it.

  9. Beautiful car!

Of course, I'm biased - having drove Magoo's 4-door sister for years. Unfortunately, mine was a little rougher...

But, it's so cool to see an old MoPar which isn't getting 'improved' with M II or Nova front suspension and a V8.

Actually the stuff is herringbone, I call all that kind of stuff Tweed, but my interior guy...who does several resto rod projects a year...corrected me this morning. Thanks everyone for the input.

Nice work! I just picked up a '40 Plymouth P10. I have other projects to finish before I start the '40, but I'm looking for ideas and inspiration! That motor looks awesome!

that brake set up is that off a dodge van

    to answer both :
The brake set up is a Kugle setup (too much money for my own ride thats for sure) but you could use the Dodge setup
The original radio is getting cut and being relocated but you can still use the orginal face. The speaker holes are gonna be used for AC. Ill post pics when I get to that.

  21. Why have you relocated the master cylinder inside the passenger compartment? Is it too tight under the hood? True the van setup is LONG!

Vas ist Kugle setup, mein Herr?

Yes the master cylinder is now inside the passenger area because we wanted it hidden.

Kugle is a brand name -they usually do suspension parts.

I know what I want to see on the firewall and a big honking brake setup was out of the question. No way. Kugel can be found at http://www.kugelkomponents.com/

There is a three container remote for the master and the clutch. That will be on the firewall.

Good news all- the car is off the stands and it is slated to go to the exhaust guy this week. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel!
