Just thought I'd share some pics of the Triumph I'm building. I've been collecting parts for a month or so, and still have a few more to find...but I think it's coming along pretty well. It's a '69 Bonneville by the way.

It's still pretty much just mocked up at ride height, but I made some real progress on the frame over the past couple of days...cutting off the extraneous bullshit, making mounts, cleaning it up, etc. Plans call for a Fatlucky's seat, custom exhaust, some more chrome, and some shade of candy over flake.

I never really considered myself an apehanger kind of guy, but I think they're growing on me. [IMG]

I dont know, I think a little peanut tank fits the style of the bike, ...kinda late 60`s Sunset strip style!!

Or Indian Larry style for the newbie`s. [IMG]

...that's pretty much the look I'm going for...thanks!

The rear tire is a Goodyear 5.00-16. It might get changed to an Avon Speedmaster MKII before it's all said and done. Thanks for the comments guys!

    Looks good.

Jobless people have all the fun. [IMG]

Looks like you got another one waiting in the background.
    I think I'm seeing a career move.

I've been watching biker movies for about 2 weeks straight.
Your gonna have to come over some weekend and watch a few. I'm getting quiet the collection going but the downside is that its giving me bike fever.

  11. Another bitchin' bike Bass!!

    I dig that Frisco style!

Only thing strange I see is that the seat looks a little thick.. But maybe that's just me.. I just got up [IMG]...

I contacted Fatluckys to make us some seats... That's gonna rule!
You didn't get this one from him, did you?? [IMG]

    Keep up the good work!

dutchman the seat in the background (the white one )
is more the fatlucky's style (he covered it)
i think bass is just using the seat in the picture for mocking this bike up.
bass let me know when you get it going i'll come over and ride with you [IMG]

    Thanks guys!

Maurice, I thought the seat looked a little too thick also...that's exactly what I told Sean (Fatlucky's). [IMG] It's an older Bates seat so I'm gonna use it...he'll just reshape the foam. Also the front isn't bolted down in the pics and it makes it look kind of funny as well.

I'm still trying to make up my mind if I want to do a black seat & grips or white seat & grips. [IMG]

Cab, the frames on both bikes are '63-70 Triumph front sections with stock rake and aftermarket extended hardtails...I'm not sure who made the hardtails. The wheelbase on the bare metal one is about 2 inches shorter than the black one.

    looks like a BCS hardtail

sweet looking mock up...def on the right path

and its a nobrainer on the grips/seat man

you just have to "gain acceptance" of the fact

If you go with an Avon, are you gonna give that tire back to me?

Bruce...the only reason I'm thinking about changing tires is because this one is so dry-rotted. It might be a little iffy to run it at highway speeds, but I'm going to try to use it though. I still feel like I owe you something...I haven't forgotten.

Big Ric...shhh...don't tell everyone that root beer brown is making a comeback. It's supposed to be a secret! [IMG]

I'm actually still undecided on color for now...probably won't know what color I'll do until I buy the paint. [IMG]

Both of those bikes kick ass.

The shallow depth of field (aka "blurred background") makes the bikes look like scale models. [IMG]
