Looks good, I saw one today at a show, super rare, how about a ford 4 cyl ztec engine swap on old school webber side drafts and a 5 speed box? Brit style.

When this engine dies, I probably will swap it out for something modern, maybe a Miata or a Toyota twin cam.

how about a 2.3 ranger truck motor? i assume the old (pinto) intakes
and headers would fit and still be all ford. the focus motors are pretty wicked, but it sounds like there are some electronic$ involved...

A Zetec engine has the same bellhouse boltpattern as the pre-X flow that is in it.

They run well on Webers, but there is no reason it wouldn't work with a single progressive downdraft...

Are you going to come and see me? My new garage should be built by then and we could spoon on the floor...the bubbletop will most likely be in California though.....

We'll spoon and more, perhaps fork, even.
I'll be sure to call you and Steve, also Zenor.

    Hugs and kisses.

What about the clutch? Do I just need to change the pilot bushing? It would be great to keep the gearbox, it's in fine fettle. What about starter position.

Damn Alex you know a hell of a lot.

Here's some cell phone pics of my drums, I painted 'em in a candy green fade, I copied Eryk from Los Boulevardos, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

You might need a special flywheel.

I really liked the 1.5" chop that Mike Wareham did on his four door. Made a whole world of difference.

Oh yeah Mark, I can dig it, it'll scoot good with a Pinto motor.
My grandpa had a Classic in Pakistan, I remember going for a visit in the 70s and me and my uncle did a tune up on it. We could get all the parts for it from the parts store in those days, just walk in.
All those old Brit cars are gone now, just a few left in the hands of collectors, all those hundreds of thousands of black and yellow bumblebee Morris Minor taxis have been replaced with Nissans.
Vauxhalls, Moggies, Fords, Opels and Datsuns even were all very common sights.
There are no Fords made in England any more, right?
