Hey gang, Well we are making some progress on the 55. She is still on stands but she has all new bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, inner tie rod, new KYB shocks, cut coil and a 1/4 out, and complete disc swap (still in progress) with new master and booster. This is how she is sitting right now as we ran out of time this past weekend. There is a 302 and AOD that a buddy is rebuilding for me as well so hopefully by spring she will be moving under her own power.
Looks great! Did you buy new spindles for the disk brake swap? Which vendor did you use for the disc swap? My 54 has that in her future (I hope!).
THanks guys. We have been cleaning and painting parts for a bit now. The disc brakes are a kit I picked up from Auto City Cl***ic. It cost $764 and is complete. New spindles, rotors, loaded calipers, new lines, prop. valve, master cyl, and brake booster. Not as cheap as hunting it down in a junkyard but was easy and a decent price.
