In 2026 I’ll take my eighty-first trip around the sun. ‘Plan to drive the roadster more often, keep fighting this damn cancer and deal with the ups and downs of life as best I can. ONWARD!!

Here, it's unseasonably warm, hot really, and as I sit at this computer in shorts and a t-shirt I am suddenly hit with an idea so bright and luminous that I've just got to tell somebody. Since my wife and the dog are still asleep, I guess you guys are it.

Lately, I've been doing a lot of night driving and the number of fools running around with full bright lights in these new cars with their LED headlights is insane. Minivans and jacked up pickups seem to be the worst, and since they are all relatively new I'm sure they have auto dimming. Nobody around here knows how to use it. The song "Blinded by the Light" has a whole new meaning!

I'm thinking of running for the Legislature in my state. If elected I plan to introduce a bill to deal with the bright lights. Under my proposal it will be illegal to ride around with high beams on at all times. (It already is illegal, but the law isn't enforced and needs to have some teeth) The penalty for not dimming one's lights when meeting or overtaking another car will be as follows:
    First offense - Warning
Second offense - $5,000 fine or 30 days in jail
    Third offense - Firing Squad

Can I count on your vote??
If you support this legislation please send me $5.00

:D (just kidding - HAPPY NEW YEAR and don't forget to dim your lights)

Had my 2nd back surgery November 10, so i am looking at several months of rehab. I hope to make enough progress to finish my 50 chevy truck to get it on the road, and to clean up and clean out the garage enough to get the 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark 5 Convertible my better half inherited from her Dad out of storage and into the garage.
It is bigger than the truck is!
