    spent yesterday working on my truck for a bit for my birthday figured i'd share a few updated pics on the asembly of my roadster pickup since it got painted and i have started reassembly !

    thanks guys ! still alot of wet sanding and color buffing to do yet but at least it's starting to look like something again !

    Brock, That is quite the change in the look of your RPU ! My wife was deeply impressed by the shade of blue you choose. Makes a real Hot looking Hot Rod !

    thanks for all the compliments guys , it's been quite the project from actually finding the rpu and having fun w it for a year to deciding it needed some attention and ultimately deciding to completely redo it and make it mine ! so from the little 4 cylinder chevy 2 engine and trans to a ford v 8 and c 4 , redoing the scabbed in kickup on the frame , going to a 9 inch rearend and heavy 11 inch drums , and completely stripping the body for paint and body work !

    yes its been off the road now for a couple years and i had hoped to have it finished this summer but things didn't work out ! but its close now and will deffinitely be ready for spring ! i'll have it at back to the 50s for certain

    got the new wood cut for the box structure and about ready to put the box back on , also got the cherry for the bed floor ready !

    So what color varnish are you going to use for the cherry wood a dark or light? Like the truck by the way.

    i dont really have any idea ? i was going to talk to some woodworkers ! someone suggested just shooting it with an automotive clear as it tends to darken w age
