Floor on the truck almost finished. Needs to have the plug welds finished, some small pieces made and the kick panels built. Just wanted to show what it looks like without all of the braces in the way.
some updates here at the shop. The 51 chevy of ralph's got some bags up front this quarter on the merc had been heavily hit. THen abused by another " body guy ". Lots of work to get this even close. Lots of creases in this corner. Adn with the gas tank being relocated, it was time to fill in the old hole. I will have better pix of this area after it all gets welded and sanded down. That is my gf doin the work. Had to patch the lower pass quarter. Lots of rust here. More hammer and dolly work left. But you get the idea. after lots of prep work, replacing cage nuts, and weld through primers and paint, we started to tack on the quarter panels for molding. got a trans tunnel made for the 31 model A got the steering column mount built and got the dash almost done. Next is sawing the holes for the guages
Sorry it has been a while! Super busy as of late... More work on the merc lots to do back here. Everything has huge gaps and is off centered. So it will all be corrected prior to chrome this is hte answer we have to the deck lid springs. This is going to be a show car in the long run, so noisy springs just won't do it. This also helps the decklid open when the bear claw latch is released. We will be doing that as soon as we repair the decklid. Lots of creases and dents as well as holes from old dents that got somewhat pulled at one point or another. here we were test fitting the Desoto pan and teeth. Needs to come out a bit. TO far in.
gettin to it! Got 3 cars to take to a show in 3 weeks... been runnin myself to death! I will update soon!

You are playing devil's advocate with that chop my friend. I told you you should do it on the house for me.
I'm real new at this and I'm messing with a rusted out 49 chev.... First project really and the metal work is all new territory for me. You would not believe how much I learn from threads like these. It's not like you can just walk down the street and find someone to share this kind of knowledge. Your stuff is inspiring to say the least.... Thanks.
Thanks. Its good to hear things like that. Helps you push through another day! I have seen your car going truck thread. Love it! I have seen quite a few around these parts and if done right, are super cool! Your truck is well on it's way. If you need anything, just shout!
Distance is not a problem! I have a car here from sacramento and another from Kuwait. I would say we can handle that!
You will not regret your sacrifice, and the ride you have always wanted will be a reality. You might want to take a road trip boss Colo~ROD~o is nice. I'm originally from West L.A. Pico / Union District. Good luck to you and your ride.
