Someone get this 30 Ford Roadster

I am working for 2 months in Utica, NY at Sculpture Space. One of the board members here has a 30 Ford Roadster he wants to unload. This is what he has:
old East Coast channeled hotrod almost no rust through. It has an 8BA flathead that the owner said he heard run on an engine stand, '41 Ford rear, boxed and kicked up Model A frame, Model A front end with split hairpins, hydraulic backing plates on all 4 wheels. '38 trans is in it, no floors. He said he wants $3800 but HE SAID THAT IS VERY NEGOTIABLE AND WOULD LIKE TO GET RID OF IT BEFORE THE FIRST OF JULY. For an authentic east coast hotrod that is a steal. I would buy it but I'm a broke artist. I think this deserves a HAMB home.

nice deal on a neat car. the question is what are YOU working on out there? I always like to see your work.

 

Looks like A good deal but like you I am broke, I'm just not an artist.

 

Got lots of things in the works - will be able to show it all when I get back. will attach a preview image

 

There's a local guy who does the swap meets and is always ferreting out stuff like that. He had almost the same thing at Norwich and sold it there, with the exact same asking price.

Either way it's a pretty good deal, I doubt you could reproduce it piecemeal for that money.


Edit: It may be the same car, the hairpin radius rods look like the same as the one at Norwich. If so, I saw this in person, its a pretty decent piece.


If it is, there's a guy who sets up with him a lot of places who has a little modified, set up for Ford suspension, with like a '23 Dodge touring body, just the body and frame asking $1500, you might ask the guy about that if you miss out on this.

 

Forgot to add he has an old Edlebrock intake and a carb set up if that will sweeten the deal.

Don't think this is the same guy - John said he has had the car for a few (3?) years. He told me he got it as it sits with no motor, then replaced the doors and dropped in the motor and let it sit

 

does it have a ***le?

 

I ***ume so, but I can find out

You will have to contact him, but I am guessing no - he has 2 other projects in the garage...

 

Just heard from John and no ***le just a bill of sale

 

This is advertised in the cars for sale here on the H,A,M,B.
I checked it out and just wish I could get the cash together , I'm suprised it hasn't gone yet. I guess the no ***le is a bit of an issue for some.
