Here's the deal.

Since I got this home my bud's just won't let it go that it should be a gasser. Me? I think they hate to see the TA cut up. It is a lot less work up front.

My opinion? As cool as they are I have always thought the large bodied gassers were a waste. Wanna go fast, build light. But now I'm looking at old issues of Hot Rod brought to me to remind me of how bitchin they looked and it's leaning heavily in that direction. And would make a nice tow vehicle.

I've emailed worm and we'll see.

Already called and emailed Randy's Ring & Pinion for a cost on the '55 rear to see what is available because I really don't think I want or need to run a narrowed rear. Stability issues and the wheelwells will hold up to a 12.5 tire with the correct b.s.

PM what you want for that rear though. Not like it's a Safari and metal can be replaced. Gotta go.

 

I think that MAS has straight axle set ups cheap.......OLDBEET
