Was talking to a buddy about building a blown 348. He made the suggestion of putting a RamJet on top of the 6-71. In addition to me thinking that's fucking crazy, I wonder what it would even look like or if it's even possible to do it? I think running the old mechanical stuff is out of the question but you can buy the new electrical RamJets from GM. Would that work on a blown 348? Anybody want to draw one? Travis
Hmmm, sounds good except for the elec. fuel injection. I've never seen a blown W motor, why not build a stroker with the 454 crank then put a 6-71 on it. -Jesse
... anything possible... but i'd think you'd need to fab a new intake... I'm pretty sure the ramjet doesnt come in spread bore config
Yeah... I've seen the stuff about running a 454 crank in a 409 (turns it into 474cid). I've seen blown W engines and they do make blower manifolds for them so running a 6-71 with 2x4's or something is not going to be a big deal... it's just that this guy suggested a RamJet on top of the 6-71 Travis
