You going to Dragway Sunday? How do I tell a early intake from a late one? What is this one?

Late ones have two holes up front, road draft tube and oil filler.

The two bolts are for holding and adjusting the fan and it's corresponding carrier.
You don't need a stinking fan! Just take the radiator out to get that engine functioning air cooled with a little sal****er mist.[emoji51]
Man your gonna have her finished in no time now, nice.

Hey Ron- if you aren't running a hood or if you don't care about making a custom one, I just made dominoes to slide the radiator out two inches. Cut five inches out of an extra leaf that I took out (the flat part of course) and then just drilled a couple holes in them. Pushed the radiator just far enough out to clear the fan. I am thinking of stretching my hood a inch and a half to fill the gap.

here's what my 29 is running Ronnie..A 34 generator with fan mount on the pulley. I had to cut down my fan blades a little but it clears the radiator.

It's great seeing people pulling together to help get your car done.
Can't wait to see it together and on the sand. [emoji1360]

Rear brakes done. Man, those concentric (spell check) washers are a pain in the ***! Just getting them to seat w/the bolts and the shoes AND the backing plate! Must be a trick. . . 20170503_203610.jpg 20170503_203628.jpg Finally strapped the tank in. 3/4 banding and wing seals from work. We use this on piping and round ducts to hold the lagging on, perfect 20170503_203645.jpg

You always want something soft between the gas tank and straps. Old inner tube or even thick tar paper will work, but never metal to metal.

I didn't think of that. F!, now I get to do that twice too. Seems to be a recurring theme

I put rubber mat on the tank so I had to do new bands. 20170504_191155.jpg 20170504_195650.jpg my brothers and nephews and maybe a friend or two are coming over for a wiring and plumbing party this w/end. With some luck I might hear this pile of parts in a couple days
