Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Dirtyest Devil, Jul 21, 2012.

  1. Hey bud! I talked to dad the other day about the beach race, hopefully he told you. Also heard about the roadster re-do, sweet.

Man, I remember seeing that sedan of yours so long ago, amazing how life gets in the way.

I should be back whacking on Friday. Today Im cleaning garage and watching my boy.

Call me soon! Hope all is well...

The closer I get with the car, the more I know it needs to be whacked. Gotta finish it and drive it a little bit first to get that out of my system and then maybe we can whack it together on a cold winters night.

Only have the wiring, top wood and throttle linkage to go. Then dress up the motor after I know it runs well.

  3. If they are not they came off a car that had some serious scrub issues.

The indian tank I saw in one of the pics is making me cry. Not in a good way. But never the less it would make an interesting photo shoot if you want to m=email me some pics.

The chop looks pretty fine as well, I do noticed a little misalignment with the reveal arouund the quarter glass but I also noticed that nothing is welded up so I am going out on a limb here and say that you are going to get it worked out, correct?

Well I got to beat it, keep us posted.

  4. Mr Bean, the 34's roof is basically just laying on top for mock up and a few in progress pics. My schedule only allows me to work on my own stuff on Fridays, so you wont see a ton of quick progress.

I worked on my 32 roadster yesterday and was only able to get a little more work done on the 34 sedan.

I am happy to report that another inch came out of the top!

I think if I was going to keep the car I would have taken a little more out. It will be for sale, so I am trying to make it mean, yet drive able.

What do you mean about the Indian tank? I'm not following?

Whomever painted the tank before I owned it put a skim coat of body work on it before painting it. I don't believe it needs bodywork. The tank also had a clear coat on it which made it not look like original paint. I knew it was'nt original paint on the bike. The paint/bodywork had lifted a little and I knew that in the wintertime I would re-paint it. So for fun, I wet sanded the clear down to the water decal, removed the decal, then practiced painting it like an early Indian paint scheme.

This winter I will re-do all the tin and make it my own. The bike is a bit of a hot rod. All original parts, just a mix slightly to make it hopped up. Therefore I don't mind making it my own, and not a original points bike for shows. Blahh!!!

I will be bobbing it as well, but I will also be able to return it to it's look now, once I find a few more pieces to play with. Only because I get bored with what I have from time to time and like to mix it up.

  7. Not much to report. Took another inch and a quarter out for a grand total of 5 inches.

Might not get back on it for a bit either. Some things came up.
