    Here it is - reputedly the one and only experimental, factory hot rodded Daimler hemi, punched out to 5 litres/305 ci. Shorter than a SBC - only 27 1/4" long and 25 1/2" wide at the widest point and weighs 498 lbs all up. Hopefully this will slip in without any firewall surgery.

    Thats so cool! I´ve often thought (ok - daydreamed) about using one of these motors.

    I met UK Daimler legend Russ Carpenter once. Said he was producing 1400hp from his blown alky 2.5litre motor - with a stock bottom end!

    Yes Russ is a great guy and certainly knows his Daimlers - he used to run in the 7s in the quarter with his Jr fueler.

    This is the 'big' Daimler as used only in the Majestic Major limo and DR450. Limey Steve here on the HAMB has one in his '32 roadster - great engine.

    I seen that car, passed on it because it was too thin for me. Price was fair though. I was told a guy in PA. bought it. Good luck.
