Got a couple valve seats gone in the Merc Flattie. I don't know why? I drive it so carefully (100 mph all the time). I'm really suprised the rearend didn't go first with all the burnouts and holeshots. Oh well. Time to do a valve job and maybe a big gnarly cam. Any suggestions on what to run? Still want it drivable but need more power. I will eventually add a set of Sharp heads this fall. Then I'm quite confident in my ability to destroy the banjo!
That*****s Pete! That must be why I beat ya yesterday!!! At least she'll be running the way it should after you get it back together!
Maybe your dad should start driving truck, so he can buy you a gnarly motor. Sorry, inside joke that only us Flint******es would understand.
Maybe I'll just steal your new motor. Steve, you only beat me because I had more drag-type friction on the road than you when your front wheel(S?) left the ground. If I only had two on the road, I woulda beat ya!
that*****s Pete. i have a Merc flatty. one of the heads is here but the other is still on the motor up at Donzie's place. don't know if they are any good but if ya need to borrow em let me know. maybe Don can pull the other one and ship it or somehow get it to ya in Flint one of these days. i guess you are a bit closer to him than me so you might be able to run up there and get it. i'll be at Kritz an HHTH's "prick em and stick em" shop Monday night, stop on up...
