HOLY***** I'M GETTING OLD! Your Great Grandmas first car was a 67 Camaro.

With an additude like yours is now, I can see why they wont just give you the car now. I'd give you a fat lip.
Perhaps they are waiting till you mature a bit, so you don't destroy it the next day. What is stopping you from "giving the car some love" now? (if indeed their is even one at all) Maybe they dont want you to touch it!

My Dad has an old Harley he can't ride anymore, It's his, he loves it, and I would never ask him for it, it gets plenty of love from me even though I don't ride it. It's kept in a ready to go state, 40 year old survivor, 90%original---- just in-case he feels the need to ride it.
