    Did you read this??

Constructive replies only. This is NOT the discussion forum.
Replies will be limited to questions and answers regarding the confirmation of a sale. Questions asked of the seller should be answered by the seller only. The "Nice setup" "Wish I were Closer" "Wish I had the money" remarks don't help and send the other ads down the list. Think a price is too high? Send the poster a PM. Remarks about pricing are pointless and they keep the ad floating at the top. If the price is high the seller should get the idea when no one replies. These types of replies will be deleted.

DO NOT POST PICTURE REQUESTS - This is what the Private Message system is for.

DO NOT POST TRADE PROPOSALS OR OFFERS. This is what the Private Message system is for.

DO NOT INQUIRE ABOUT ITEMS THAT ARE NOT LISTED.
If a seller is parting out a car and you don't see a part listed that you might need then SEND A PM.

DO NOT POST "PM SENT" OR "EMAIL SENT". Some people do this whether they want the item or not. This hurts the other ads. If you want the thing feel free to post so. If you have questions about the item and the answer would be of interest to others, post it. If you want to send a PM for whatever reason then do it. Do not do both.

Also - We have a commercial section called the HAMB O DEX for business to advertise their products- dealership. Contact FLAT Top BOB before posting in the HAMB O DEX- there are requirements. Commercial car dealers seem to want to post all their inventory in the cl***ifieds and crowd the individual guys out, so we watch for that.

"Smart ***ing", "Ball Busting", and straight up whining will not be tolerated. We'll delete it. If we delete it a lot, you'll be banned.

By posting here, you agree to allow us to edit your ad to fit the editorial focus of this site.

Feeling lippy? Want to take it out on a Moderator? Well DON'T. We all volunteer to do this and we won't take any lip. This place is free, the rules are the rules and you can either play by them or hit the pike. Send any of us a smart *** PM or make a smart *** post and you're gone.

So you had people posting non-allowed questions and you were answering them right? That is why they were both deleted.

If you are here for the cl***ifieds you have missed the intenet of the site.

I've noticed this happening SOMETIMES, some threads in the cl***ys with remarks/questions stay and other threads get deleted, it's difficult trying to locate certain threads again after reading thru them, but I've heard theres a new system? And issues? That they're working on, so it might not be deleted?

okay, sorry for the misunderstanding, lotta confusion with this stuff and my thing is I just want to be straight forward and just get rid of a project without causing problems. This site is kinda strick on how you do things and when you try to do them in a manner that you think is correct, one thing or the other happens and I'm sitting here trying to figure out exactly what the hell happend.Anyway,ya'll ban me or whatever, tired of trying to following protocall and getting booted off for editing my ad

You can bump your own ad every 3 days by replying to it. You can edit your original post without replying to it, use the edit ****on at the bottom. Every time you reply to a cl***ified post it brings it to the top of the list, pushing all others down. If you keep replying to your ad, other than to bump, it will get deleted. Simple...

i noticed it's usually newbies posting and bumping ads. they need a push towards using the pm. if anone asks a question on my ads, i might answer it the next time i bump my ad if the info would be helpful to everyone viewing the ad. otherwise i pm the person and then report his post to a moderator so it can be deleted. if pm's counted towards post counts, i'd easily be at triple the count i have now.
using a reply to an ad as a method to subscribe to the thread in order to keep track of it isn't necessary when it's just as easy to subscribe using the thread tools.

  11. Ever hear the saying "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it"?

I looked at the ad that was closed, you "replied" to your own ad three day's in a row, that was in affect "bumping" NOT "editing" and there is a three day bump rule..

Ya might want to "simmer down" and just watch how things are done around here for awhile, the h.a.m.b. is a pretty damn good place to be able to access. Once you get the hang of things you'll like it... just saying:D
