    .
John has a good point here...check the front crossmember where the lower control arm mounts...55-56 fords are prone to rust-out in this area. My last one had all the rust repair done to the body but that crossmember was really rusty.
When I was in high school in the mid 60s, we [the kids] got our parents' worn out, hand-me-down cars occasionally and as family sedans, they almost all were 4 doors. There were a buncha 10 year old fords, chevy, Olds, pontiacs etc etc that were now owned by us..........high school hooligans. We tried to make them look fast or cool because we simply couldn't afford to go buy the 2 door cars we wanted.
I've seen some cool old 50s 4 door sedans built from mom's old grocery getter but they will never sell for "two door prices". I'd prolly give $2500 for this car IF...and that's a big "if"...the front crossmember is solid. If not, $1000 would be tops. Here's what a rusted one looks like.

I have to throw it out there too about the cross member. The member on my 56 was so badly rotted the lower control arm bolt was about to rip right out.
