That thing is WAY COOL! What a brute! I'm into
old 'big trucks' but that's one make and model
I've never seen or heard of before! Do you have
any more info or history on the truck or the
company and what year(s) it was built? I can
envision one now with polished 24.5 Alcoas on
    all 5 axles, the twin-Chevy stove-bolt drive
train yanked out and replaced with a 600hp
    Cat and a 13 spd double-over - and the
tarp roofed van body swapped for a luxury
RV and beavertail flat deck body combination,
with a hot rod or a race car on the back!!!!
    :D:D:D

Woo Hoo!!! Back to the future!!! I love
those old Ford and GM 'factory concept'
turbo-trucks - built back in the day
when gas turbines were gonna be the
future of trucking! Thanks for posting
    these great pics!

Those lights are cool! Are you restoring an
old trailer or do you have some other use
in mind for them? Try posting a request
on the 'Hank's Truck Pictures Forum'
or the American Truck Historical Society
Forum. Somebody on one of those lists
will likely have info on them and either
have one for sale or be able to put you
on to someone who does. Good luck.:)

I hear that, Driver! It was the worst job
I ever loved. I'm glad I did, but I'm glad
    I don't!:D

  12. Interesting thread. I always though the old trucks Freightliner etc kep the old Model A ford era styling and wondered why someone didnt build a street coupe or roadster or even 1/2 style Street rod from them. 27 to 30s styling with Paul Bunyan sizing. T'would be cool!

Gear Grinders, or some name similiar to that (sorry, I don't have my reference handy) built a twin-engine flathead cabover Ford. Each engine sat next to the frame behind the cab. Instead of one rear axle, there were two very narrow side by side axles. Each axle was mounted on it's own pair of parellel leaf packs.

  14. Wondering if an HAMBers other than me went to Kemps truck auction here in NH this past summer. 90 antique trucks, mostly Macks and a ton of signs, etc. The only thing I could afford was a hotdog. If I remember correctly this 1930 Mack Texaco truck, not running, sold for just under 30k... Here is a link to some other pics as well. http://www.paulmcinnis.com/Kemp-Truck-Museum-Hillsborough-New-Hampshire.asp

One of the truck clubs, either ATCA or ATHS did a multi page article on those a few years ago. inquiring on their sites or searching back issues might turn the article up. Sorry I can't be any more helpful than that.
