I have no connection whatsoever with this device or any entity that sells it. I discovered it several days ago and notice that no one else has mentioned it in the forums. It seems neat at first impression but like all fads, this too shall pass. Excerpt from the GizMag article located at http://www.gizmag.com/soundracer-v8-video-review/14019/ The SoundRacer plugs into the cigarette lighter socket of your boring family car, then sends an FM signal to your car stereo that makes your car sound like a roaring V8, faithfully matching revs and basically making the meekest of cars feel like a monster truck. Video of it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9XAC-BvUyo Official website at http://www.soundracer.se/ On a related note, I learned today that Sirius/XM radio receivers now utilize the same technology via their PowerConnect FM transmitter. Perfect thing for the 6 cylinder, 54 Chevy 4-door tail tragger with WWW, Von Dutch decals, flat paint and pin striping. Gary
I knew somebody would make this someday. We all had this when I was a kid, kinda reminds you of this product. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MC0dK42wOOA
But it's not incredibly stupid when it's on a kids bike. That mattel hot rod engine is actually bad ass, I would have wanted one when I was a kid. Hell, I kind of want one for my bike now.
That sounds so ghey I had to spell it different so it wouldn't offend things that are just gay. I agree, on a bike when you're like 8, 10, cool. On a car when you're old enough to drive? No.
I dont think this is the place for that thinggy however who ever invented it will make some good money I kind of want one for my boring as hell camry but not enough to actually buy one...
I felt it was a new fad item that will be utilized in vehicles, including hokey not-so-hot-rods, and was therefore fair game for inclusion in the forum. No harm meant; just a near-amusing diversion.
