Looking for patch panels for a 48 chevy pick-up (lower doors, corners, and rockers at least). Anybody dealt with American Cl***ic Truck Parts? I found them online....prices seen decent. Anybody have any other recomendations?
Thanks for the links. I was going through and trying to figure out what is needed and found this. not really sure what it is...not sure if this truck needs one. Where does this go on the truck? http://www.chevyduty.com/store/prodinfo.asp?number=44-311&variation=&aitem=21&mitem=46
How stupid would it look to repair the rot along the lower edges of the cab and doors (along with repairing the floors) and leave the majority of the "patina"?
try this guy and here's one o f his own tech tips Ray Stanley Wheelwright Restorations 92 Pine Street Wheelwright, MA 01904 1-413-477-6467 this guy makes some top notch stuff, personally i haven't used him yet but i have decided to let him rework my door hinges on my bus & any of the body panels i need to replace i'll buy from him. he comes highly recommended by several folks i know on other boards. not for sure what all he makes but all it takes is a phone call or email to ask a question....joe
Ray mostly makes the stuff you can't find anywhere else and most of it is for Suburbans and Panels. Things like cab corners and door bottoms you'll find at ChevyDuty or Brothers or American Cl***ic or others. I've heard they all buy from the same source, so don't pay premium on any of it unless you have a good reason. I have some of Ray's work waiting to go on my Suburban. I've heard nothing but good about him, and the parts I've bought all look fantastic. Hopefully they will look better once installed!
