Check out usapartsco ripple exhaust tubing . 1 3/4” dia is all they offer. The ripples are straight not in a threaded pattern

those look just like my dull pipe cutter attempts. I could break those pipes over my knee with not too much effort.... I think we should wait for @Tuck

That dark band across the top of each radius is the flattening effect you'd get by using a single wheel pipe cutter that has a pair of cylindrical rollers opposing the wheel. This is what I mentioned in my previous post about why I think a 4 wheel cutter would work better than a standard single wheel cutter. It only contacts the tubing at the line where you're reducing the diameter.

Cool thread so far, I've always wondered about a source for recreating the original custom grill for the SWC Swindler 2 car. or a full length set of lakes pipes out of this stuff. It looks like back in the day Superior must have been it. Anybody know what O.D. the grill on the SWC Swindler 2 was?

Hey guys, I work for BKP on the digital marketing side. The supply of these is somewhat limited, although not quite made to order status. Currently we have both 1 3/4" and 2" in stock. Both mild and stainless steel. Hope that helps and reply or send a PM if you need anymore help.

here are some pleasurable "just the" tips from my collection of junque. the middle one was clearly made generally the way that Moriarty attempted, with rollers only on the outside. the outer tips have clear evidence of inner dies to get the deep ribs. you can see the die lines if you zoom in to the pics.

i also have some of the ribbed "flex pipe" that you used to be able to get at auto parts stores. the ribs on that pipe are more like the outer tips, but uneven in their axial spacing on the pipe due to poor quality manufacturing. here is a sample of a drop from when i had welded sections of these to some bends years ago to make some ripple pipes, but never finished them. you can clearly see the burnished area on the inside diameter where roller dies did the forming.

Great news. Do you have any pull at McDonald’s by any chance. I need a Mc Rib. Just kidding.
