talked to Modern Driveline and Tremec about some seals and shims for the T-5. Seems there is a difference between a Tremec and a T-5. I know there are some T-5 gurus on the H.A.M.B. and would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

Which do you have? Part number of trans or partial VIN?

Auto Manufactures (and dealers) are only required by law to maintain parts supplies for 11 year models of vehicles. That has been going on since the 80's if not earlier. They may still produce and have some high demand high volume pieces available but after 11 years aren't required to. There are plenty of suppliers for T-5 seals though including the local NAPA.
A simple search on Rock Auto shows both input and output shaft seals for a 91 S-10 T 5 along with a number of other pieces for them and the best thing is that you can go into local parts houses with the part number after you figure out that you are looking at the correct seal for a T 5 as their page shows seals for all available manual transmissions for a 91 S-10 and it is up to you to sort out the correct one.
