Customs Source or interchange for these A/C vents?

I have a '65 Volvo 1800S that I added factory A/C to. The chrome on the plastic "eyeball" dash vents is in pretty rough shape. The few people I can find willing to try and plate them are stupidly expensive. Do any of you guys recognize them as being used on any other car? I can't imagine for the only-a-few-hundred of these cars made with A/C that Volvo created a bespoke vent instead of using an off-the-shelf part that I might be able to find replacements for these, instead of dropping big bucks sending them out to get chromed.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Darel
