Hey moondisc - you might end up running that Olds against a hot rod Civic at this rate. Ah, we'll give 'em hell.

I'll be there around 3:00 - if evrything goes as planned [IMG]

What kind of safety inspection is there? My buddy might be interested in running his car - wanted me to ask what he needed to p*** & race. I'm not gonna say what kind of car it is though. Lets just say it wouldn't fit in here. Nice car and a really nice guy though.

    Thanks,
    Jay

K-Buster, I e-mailed the promoter, and they said that racing is open to EVERYONE. Might be a bust, and we may be getting our hopes up as far as the Nostagila drags go. As far as safety goes, I would alost plan on going by NSRA or ISRA rules. ????? [IMG]

O.K., Here is the deal for what our klub is doing on Saturday morning. This is a direct quote from TagMan's e-mail.....
Let's meet at Tom's Original at #364 Rte. 104 in Ontario (about ¾ mile east of the Monroe County line and just east of Dean Pkwy, on the south side of 104). We'll be leaving Tom's at 9:15am, so please try & get there a little before that, so you can buy me a cup of coffee. It's about an hour's drive to the drags from there.

Iff'in ya'll are from the west side of ****chester, we are meeting at TagMan's palace and leave at 8:30.

    OUT~!
    Bravo

It all depends on the weather really. I'm supposed to meet a chick out in Syracuse and the two of us were going to head to the drags. If the weather ****s, I might as well stay in Syracuse and... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

If, however, the weather is good, I'll be out there. Maybe I'll see you guys...

It's funny, it was an absolutely miserable day here, but as soon as I got past Albany, the weather cleared up and was really pretty nice.

I got out to the races around 5:00 or so, saw a few drags and then they closed up shop. It was brief, but fun - didn't really get a chance to talk to anybody, but I don't think any of them were you guys anyway since I didn't see Moondisc's Olds or anything older than late 60's.

Even though we were only there for about 20 minutes, the chick I brought with me had a great time. She'd never seen a drag race before, and I told her she'd never see one like this anywhere else. Who doesn't like racing?

    Later guys,
    Jay

    Sorry I missed you Jay.
If you come to the 'cuse to see her again, swing over my way.
I'll teach you the back way home. Way shorter, and a much nicer drive than the thruway.
So did you get lucky? [IMG]

I'll probably be out that way again, don't know when exactly, but a shorter trip is always welcome.

I got home about 2:00 last night - through the rain and fog.

No such luck on the gettin' lucky. She's a respectable type and this was really the first time we'd gotten together without a hundred other people hangin' around.

I'll talk to you later Moondisc,
    Jay
