South Texas Showdown May 2008

Sounds like It could be a real blast, and its close to me as well. But why 1948-1964? Would my 1931 Model A not be able to compete in unfinished?

 

no it would definately, there will be some exceptions made

 

cool deal. takin the flatty to the machine shop on monday and should have it back in a couple of weeks. I'll be lookin for an intake and carbs before long along with a few other things. Still debating to drop the front axle myself or send it off and have it done Anyhow I'll keep my eye on the date and hopefully I can make it and the round up..

whats the difference in unfinished and rat rod?

there is no such category, there is 2 categories unfinished and finished street rod, maybe you got them mixed up?, Sorry

 

hmm...okay...if its PRE 64...then you souldnt allow 1964 cars...and you are really limiting yourself with 150 only [ but i assume thats all the room ya have] but to start off at 48??? thats goin to hurt ya a lil id think...

 

48 is only for that or those categories in question BUT IT IS NOT A START OFF YEAR FOR THIS EVENT, and yes 150 car limit is what we are limited to, maybe next year if all goes well with this one we can move it to a bigger area. If you have any more questions about the categories or need more info on this event please go to www.metalwerksgarage.com , and the head coordinator and his staff along with the Judges that are selected for this event will answer your questions that are car related asap, thanx

Good luck hope it turns out to be a great show.I might have to ride down to San Antone to check this one out.Man I guess my 64 falcon wouldn't qualify.

 

Glad to see more shows being put together. If we aren't binded somewhere else that weekend, we'll try to get out to see how it turns out.

I'm assuming the Burgers are good at Sam's? I'll be all over that.
