Anyone in the HAMB community I could pay to pick up a rear end and ship it to California? I would make the arrangements and pay for your time. PM me, thank you. John
Somewhat OT and hope this doesn't jeopardize this thread, but I'm guessing not many here know the significance of these. Ok, here is my only connection to those unicorns (other than magazines). My neighbor bought a 1968 Z/28 about 1971/2 when we were in high school, he asked me to take him to pick it up, I followed him, burning rubber in that thing the three miles back home, now, I never actually saw the rear brakes but he claimed the 68 had that rearend, he got married shortly after and the car went down the road. I don't think he got the backstory on that car but it had to be a one of one with a JL8.
You might try contacting the Road Angels of Doylestown car club. Doylestown is about 12 miles from Southampton according to Mr. Google http://www.roadangelsdoylestown.com/
