Today (11/4/23) was the Championship Finals for the SEGA. For once the weather was perfect and aside from a couple of track oil downs the day was flawless. I shot some photos, talked to some folks and generally had a good time. Here, in no particular order is some of what I saw.
SEGA The best thing that has happened to nostalgia doorslammer drag racing in a long time. Thanks Tom.
Fantastic photos that shot of "Quick and Dirty" is poster quality, thanks for taking the time to post.
Good to see some "former" Hambers that used to post updates regularly but have moved on and abandoned us.
Happy to see Tony and the Quick N Dirty out there again. Doing some testing with the new Tunnel Ram I built for the Hemi.
Here's a link to ALL the photos I shot at the SEGA Finals. https://tombo.smugmug.com/The-2023-SEGA-FINALS/
That Austin was towed from BC and raced…young kid to boot..very cool..hope to get to an event next year
I haven't seen Tony post any updates in a while. Im sure im not alone in wanting to see some update posted, particurly the new induction setup.
Well the last time I did a Tunnel Ram for another car they tried to outlaw it before it ever ran and it was a true legit vintage engine (not a SBC, BBC, SBF etc) trying to hang with the rest. It was tastefully done to fit the era in which they have rules around but no such thing existed for that platform. Same deal with the Early Hemi so I follolwed the rules to what they would allow me to build. I have something like 80 hours in that manifold.
Would love to see some shots of the manifold Nick. Good to see Tony again, would also like to see some shots of the intake on the car.
Sorry to drag this thrread off topic, but that intake is bitchen! Is that an Edelbrock TR2 with runners from a Hot Heads intake?
You care if I post that shot on my build thread Tom? I'm going to put some stuff up on my old thread. Its just been a tough 12 months around the farm. But things are settling down.
