Might be back from Chickasha in time.

  2. Notice:

These changes have been made to our usual deal to balance out the staging lanes and to expedite the program.

Time only cars will enter as Trophy Bracket , and will run out of the same four lanes ,as will Straight Axle Eliminator cars.
None of these classes have an additional lane fee, as they are contested for winner and runner-up trophies only.
T.O. cars can put on a dial in and run first round or wait until we have room for a T.O. lane later in the program.

S/A Elim will be a separate category that you can enter at the gate. It will be run for a trophy only ,unless someone would like to sponsor a cash award.
    Any questions, call or write.
    Thanks

good call the "Time only" lane always gets confusing in the back as it blends around the corner with lane 1 and 2

  4. I have edited this to read the same FOUR lanes.
This will balance out the former T/O and Trophy Bracket lanes.
Those lanes will be emptied out, two at a time, in each rotation.

Me, the band, and some a few folks plan on meeting up for breakfast that morning in the area of Bell and Grand. If anybody has any ideas on where or wants to join up, let me know.

  7. I'm not sure if all you guys are aware of this, but Speedworld is open Friday night, the 19th for test and tune. Also ,Saturday is the Summit Series Team race, but anyone can race or just run the T&T line .
Same thing on Saturday night for the street drags.
You can enter our event at any time during the weekend, and just stay there , camping out or motorhomes,...whatever.
Any questions, just call me... 602-769-0346

I'm not sure where we'll be eatin', probably just McD's or something quick near Grand and Bell. We are planning getting to Speedworld at 8, so if we met up around 7 we should be good. I'll check to see whats around up there let ya know.

Looks like we can choose from IHOP or Jack in the Box.

We're in the same boat Mark!!! I've been so busy and haven't had a chance to get my set ready. I'm gonna bring alot more then the typical car show rockabilly tunes, expect some surf, garage, trash, new and old. There will be some 'billy too, just not the same ol' stuff everyone is tired of....
I'll list a sample list of records/tracks in a day or two.

So my neighbors invited us to watch the fights last night and afterwards a few of us ended up back in my studio, diggin through the stash... Here's a little sampling...

Rudy Grayzell, Eddie's Angels, Wade Curtiss, The Neptuna's, The Ventures, Paul Peek, The Shades, The Hearsemen, Flying Saucers, Freddy Fingers, The Polecats, The Phantom Surfers, and many, many more. I even found a cool record with garage bands from Phoenix, recorded in 50's/60's...

If anyone else has a resuest, please let me know and I'll see if I can't dig it up before Sunday.

  15. Unless something magical happens it looks like I won't make it. I still don't have a set of leaf springs- Desert Valley has a set but they want $250 for them = wtf. A guy at the Goodguys swap had a pair for $50 but one of the leaves was cracked. He said he can bring a good set to the Glendale swap this weekend and I might be able to get them in the car... but my swap meet mini-starter is having fits too.

I might run to the drags in my daily ride to check things out.

I have went thru three of those starters also another bad thing is with his starters is he wants you to mail it to him so he can fix it,unless you throw a big fit like i did, then he will trade you out at the swap meet but then wont honor it anymore.BIG DEAL!!.hopefully you get your car fixed.by the way if you dont get any where with him believe it or not checker sales a brand new mini starter made by hitachi that is a awsome starter i have them on all three of my cars and they are all big blocks.just a thought. good luck hope to see you out there, the more cars the funner it will be. "IS IT SUNDAY YET"

  17. You too??? Seriously? The guy from Lake Havasu selling the starters at swap meets? This is my second one, the first one had a bad casting on the starter body and cracked. I'm definately not going to screw around with getting that guy to fix this one. I'll check into that Checker / Hitachi mini starter. Thanks for the tip!

I will be there also. They are having a domestic/imports race and car show saturday night. It's usually is not over until around 12:30 or 1:00.it is a points series that my wife is racing in so we will be there.there will be a test and tune lane also so come on out. After it is over we can reposition everyone for sunday. The car show area for them is in the same area as us so we will have to park behind the gas depot during their race.

Rich is Grand avenue still under construction?....and if it is, can you suggest an alternate route? Will Bell road get us around it, or maybe take the 303?

Glenn, Yeah the 303 will work also Happy Valley goes all the way across now from the 17 to the 303 makes it quick with out to much traffic from the north side.

  28. Yeah, you want to take I-10 west, past the 101 on the west side to the 303 ,north.

Go about 12 miles and you'll cross Bell Road . The next right hand exit will put you on Grand, 5 miles from the track.
A little longer, but much faster.
