Gary, the beer was cold and it was free. You have gone many miles for a lot less! Hope to see you in a few weeks when the weather gets a little nicer.

 

Was going to go couple years ago till I started counting up how many nights in motels and how much $$$$ it would be. Couldn’t afford it. Don’t think I could drive that far now a days lol

Spoke with Gail this morning and she said Irwin Hills weekly cruise night starts up this week Saturday at 5, weather permitting...
then while I was over there saw the sign for downtown Irwin Main Street Cruise is April 28

 

It's about 1,500 miles. Serious drive in a modern car let alone your roadster. You wouldn't go if you didn't drive your car. This thing starts I think on wed. And goes till Sunday. Lots of cars of all types, mostly old stuff, not like home with the new corvettes ,Mustangs and camaros. Merc Charlie's I pre 62 I think. Live music most places. Rock a. Billy , blues. Many more young people than we typically see.

Back in Austin.Stopped in Mercury Charlie's again. Authentic hod rod shop and friendly people there. Hope all you guys are well and happy.
