Hot Rods SP tops- Is Wilcap making them again yet?

Howdy:

I've tried numerous times to call the fellas at Wilcap to check on the status of the recasting of the SP tops for Stromberg 97's.

When I actually spoke to someone two years ago, he mentioned he was working on improving the patterns. He told me to call back in 6 mons. I've called back every 6 mons. since and have gotten the answer machine without a returned call.

Does anyone know these cats and what the deal is?

I've I understand, he does own the rights to SP products.

I posted this on another thread on carb tops, but I guess nobody read it. Gene Scott reproduced the SP tops for 81's, 97's and 48's in the early 90's. He sold a lot of them. They are beautiful. Call Jim Gordon who is running Gene's Specialty Ford Parts business for Gene's widow.

Wilcap also has/had the "SP" logo'd versions in his catalog two years which prompted my call. I don't know how to scan but, could provide copies if anyone wants to see it.
