Ok,I want to know what type of plug should I be using.
    I have a : 235 w two 2barrel carbs,3/4cam,848head,Fenton intake/Fenton headers,beehive oil filter,pertronix w flamethrower coil
Currently using stock plugs.Read somewhere that I could use a different type plug&open the gap;for better results with my engine?
    Thanks in advance

Very nice...I would run a stock type plug and gap them at .045. Stay away from platinum, iridium etc...

There is no simple answer to your question, I'll tell you why. If you purchase a generic Chevy 350 crate motor and read the spec sheet, that motor is used in about a dozen vehicles ranging from Chevys, Pontiac, Olds, Buick, El Cos, and trucks. Starting at all years from early '70s to late 80s. Now if you look up what plug should be used you will get several different recommendations. Start with a stock plug and about a .040 gap and keep trying until you get the results you are looking for and run with them.

Learn to read spark plugs. There should be some good info on the net someplace.

Stock plugs should be OK but if you run the engine hard you may want a colder plug.

With the ignition you have, you can go to a wider spark plug gap. I wouldn't go over .035 with the stock distributor cap. There is danger of the spark jumping inside the cap. Later electronic ignition caps have insulating ridges on the inside. If you can find one to fit your distributor you could use the same gap as the car it came off of.

Ok,lets get focused on this set-up.A 235 with 2 two barrels from Tom Langdon.I read that I could gap atad more than "stock"plugs. That it was even reccommanded. This is the info that I am needing.Just trying to tweak my setup-in a good productive way.
