Spark? problem; or, i swear i am going to kill my truck with me in it.

    the firing order is correct. the wires are 5 years old, only not really used. but when i move them around, i can tell a difference in the way the car idles, and sometimes it causes a misfire. so i suspect a few are bad on the inside. new wires tonight i hope, as long as it is above the 7* it is right now.

    i have made huge progress though. yay.

    That truck may have been designed to use real wire and not the graphite covered string that is todays "resistance wire". Might be worth checking on.

    check too make shure u have srark when cranking for a monment if not you have a bad key switch too make shnure put a wire from batt pos to coil pos then start keithnovak

    buzzard, i'll have new ignition wires tomorrow, so i'll let you know. special ordered from napa as 'factory replacements'. so we'll see what they give me.

    been super cold again here. no time in the driveway.

    i did find good replacements and returned the universals. should get them on this weekend.

    What the hell are you talkin about, Mark...we've been having a frikin heat wave the past couple of days.
    Get off the computer and take the 5 minutes to get those new wires on today. If not, you'll be freezin your balls off doin it this weeknd!:D

    ah well, when we have sunshine and warm weather i am 50 miles away from the truck, inside working for the man. so the freedom isnt really there to do that...

    Shrinkage and not knowing if you can get it started. What can be worse.

    well, i got the new wires on. and i hate to admit it, but i think don might have been right all along...

    definitely needs a new ignition switch.

    but then, all i need is to get the wheel cylinders in on all corners and it'll be ready to go.

    and what the heck were they thinking with left handed lug nuts on the left side of the truck? good grief.
